Comfortable rooms, more like typical US sized rooms than Japanese. Clean. Very comfortable beds. Courteous and efficient staff. New and modern interiors. Excellent restaurant (went for a multi course lunch but not breakfast). The hotel and restaurant seem to focus on featuring local high end products and art work. Japanese style bath with enclosed shower/tub area, separate toilet. And the hotel supplies bath towels from Imabari (Imabari is an area on the island of Shikoku famous for supberb towels). There is a mini fridge (average sized, so it will fit more than just a few small water bottles), hot water pot. 3 minute walk from the Asakusa exit of the Ueno train station and not too onerous to walk with luggage (escalator and elevator access across the panda bridge). Location is on the quiet side of the Ueno station area, but a few minutes to the Ameyoko and Okachimachi shopping districts, about 10 minutes to Ueno park. The hotel has coin laundry facilities with a separate dryer that took about an hour to dry a typical load of clothes (not one of the combo ones where it seems to take forever to dry!!).

I booked 5 hotels on this Booking platform for my recent family trip, this one was no doubt the best one we've stayed! It's about 5 minutes' walk to a main road and the Ueno station of JR and Tokyo Metro, and 10 minutes walk to the Ueno Park, yet it is very quiet in the room and outside the hotel building. The room is large enough even with an additional bed, and the equipment in the room are all very advanced, easy to use, and have carefully designed details to ensure the guests have safe and comfortable stays. They were the best equipment I've used in this whole trip. The staff were all very nice and professional, their English were all very good, especially the accent was very close to American English accent. I had the easiest and the most relaxing communication with the staff in this hotel in my whole trip. Due to our schedule we only had one breakfast and one dinner here. They were all very tasty, and the fruit available in the breakfast was surprisingly good. I would definitely stay here again if I were to visit Tokyo in the future.

Incredible experience at a quiet yet highly accessible location. Staff are fluent in conversing, and the room we had simply matched all our expectations and then some. There was space to put 3 luggages and more, 2 chairs and a very modernized toilet and shower room. Much to our surprise there was also a fairly decent bluetooth speaker in the room, which we thoroughly enjoyed utilizing (hopefully not at the expense of other guests!). We also received 2 welcome drinks by using tokens at the lobby, which consist of selections such as sake, wine and beer. There is a balcony of sorts on the second level too, which we unfortunately did not manage to frequent due to the winter cold but I can imagine it would be really popular in other seasons. A 5-10min walk to ueno’s major shopping and eating, and of course the major lines including Keisei express, made this hotel worth every dollar paid even if it’s priced slightly higher than others. Highly recommended.

The hotel is located 5 mins walk from Ueno-Station, with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Ueno Park and garden, with its multiple (national-, art-, royal-) museum, zoo, temples and shrines (Shinobazunoike, Gojoten etc.) is close as well. We stayed 7 nights and explored whole Tokyo easily by public transport with comfortable Suica-Card. One day we rented a very comfortable bike from the hotel to explore Ueno surrounding and the graves (Yanaka) and Ginza. Dinner at Nohega Hotel is expensive but very good and stylish. We enjoyed it. And thanks to the hotel team for that marvellous 5th anniversary party of Nohega Hotel. The whole stay was a pleasure.

We stayed 3 nights in this modern, artistically designed hotel and had a wonderful stay. There was a Nespresso coffee maker in the room which made excellent coffee. All the other hotels we stayed in Japan had pour over coffee which was very weak. The soundproofing was amazing. You could not hear anyone outside your room. The room was beautiful and the shower had nice pressure. Breakfast was very good. We’re not big city people and thought the location was perfect - easy walking distance to Ueno Station, Ueno Park (museums), lively shopping and lots of places to eat. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood.
